About this service
Affirmative Ventures has expanded its affordable housing program to include Affirmative Homes, which is a supportive housing model based in the Dartmouth, NS community helping to prevent relapse, re-hospitalization, and re-isolation.
Affirmative Homes are multi-bedroom accommodations occupied by individuals living with mental illness, addictions or past criminal activity. Residents receive support from volunteer members of the community who assist with the activities of daily living.
In co-operation with Broadway Properties Ltd. Affirmative Ventures currently provides support to 8 individuals, living in 4 separate units.
