About this service
Here at The Wiseman Centre, we recognize the needs of each person, and we extend ourselves to ensure that even beyond the basic needs, the care of the person as a whole is being met. By applying the holistic approach, we are addressing the physical, the spiritual, the emotional, and the financial needs of each individual.
We work with each person, to assist them in filling out income support applications, administering medication, arranging for ID replacement cards, signing out bus passes, and referring them to community resources. The main priority of all support provided to shelter residents is to help them find more permanent housing.
Residents of the Wiseman Centre are able to avail of services located on the premises such as wellness group, mental health and addiction counselling, Narcotics Anonymous, spiritual direction, and access to a social worker.
