ACNLs provincial HIV Program is funded by the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) under their AIDS Community Action Program (ACAP). PHAC has moved to a more holistic approach with respect to HIV, HCV and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBIs) and related health factors, such as chronic disease, mental health, aging and the determinants of health in contributing to a pan-Canadian response. This approach builds upon the historical and collective efforts of governments, civil society and the private sector in addressing the challenges of HIV and HCV over time.
