About this service
Are you concerned about a loved one possibly having an eating disorder? Are you attempting to support a loved one with their struggle with an eating disorder?
At the Eating Disorder Foundation we firmly believe that parents and caregivers do not cause eating disorders. In fact research says that parents and caregivers are the best resource for recovery of a loved one with an eating disorder. At the Foundation we have a deep and unwavering belief in the healing power of families.
Regardless of their age, we believe that individuals want to be supported by their parents or caregivers, and parents and caregivers want to support their loved ones in their recovery. However, despite their best efforts, some parents and caregivers feel ill-equipped to do so, either due to practical barriers, a lack of confidence or never having learned the skills themselves
