About this organization

Avalon Employment has been securing paid, meaningful employment in St. Johns and surrounding areas since 1992. As a not for profit organization that offers services for persons with barriers to employment due to developmental disabilities, we not only serve the individuals that seek our services, but we also serve the business community.

Our organization and its team of diversity and inclusion professionals seek to:

Identify, promote, and support priorities for sustainable long term employment;

Identify employment opportunities across the region as requested by clients;

Influence government policies, regulations and programs to improve the climate for long term employment of individuals with barriers to employment; and,

Support and provide on going maintenance as required to ensure the continued employment of our clients.
