About this service
The purpose of a psychoeducational assessment is to help determine a childs learning profile, including their strengths and needs, so that recommendations relevant for educational planning can be suggested. Students are usually referred for assessment because they are either struggling academically or underachieving in one or more areas of the curriculum.
Process:
The assessment process involves gathering relevant information about a childs developmental, health, and educational history and administering and interpreting norm-referenced tests. Informal assessment and behavioral observations of a child during testing are also used to gather information about how the child learns.
