About this service
Couples often think that counselling is something they should seek if they feel their relationship is in jeopardy of ending. And certainly we have seen many cases where counselling saves a relationship which was nearing the end.
However, as many of us in long term relationships know, after the honeymoon is over, being a couple, while being very fulfilling, can be very challenging indeed. Our experience has shown us that couples who seek out counselling before taking the serious step of marriage or even co-habitation, report that counselling strengthened their relationship going forward and greatly helped them overcome the challenges they faced.
Lets face it, currently the separation/divorce rate is over 50% and each time, while some splits are more damaging than others, there are people who get very hurt and face a tough period of adjustment, including grieving and financial hardship.
