About this service
YWCA Moncton strives to advance economic security amongst women and gender diverse individuals through sustainable development strategies. Such strategies encourage a grassroots approach that incorporates social sustainability and aid to recognize identities that intersect. Identities such as race, culture, gender identity and sexuality. This strategy aims to ensure that historically marginalized groups are included and their participation drives meaningful development in our community. Economic security, womens and gender diverse individuals' empowerment, and the eradication of poverty are key intersecting themes that are necessary for individuals in our community to reach their full potential. Thus, it is paramount we incorporate sustainable development strategies that consider intersectionality in ones identity and how it relates to social issues.
