About this service
THE WAYS WE HELP:
- Providing 700 hot meals a week to the John Howard Society!
- Sharing food donations with 6 social service agencies weekly including Fredericton Anti-Poverty and Fredericton Multicultural Centre. The Fredericton Community Kitchens is well placed to receive larger donations from local businesses so we keep what we need and share the rest to minimize waste in our community.
- Providing bagged lunches for the Fredericton Public Library community fridge.
- Providing bagged lunches to volunteer groups to distribute to residents living rough.
- Providing food boxes in emergency situations.
- Providing start up food boxes to all individuals moving out of the shelters or rooming houses into supportive housing in partnership with the SUN (Supportive Housing Network) Committee.
