About this service
The number and proportion of young Canadians without adequate and secure housing has increased during the last two decades. Despite overall gains which have improved the lives of youth, youth between the ages of 16 to 19 who lack family support remain a group at risk of developing significant problems in their physical and mental health and are at risk of becoming homeless.
Youth in Transitions Chrysalis House, addresses the needs of these at-risk and/or homeless youth by offering a supportive living arrangement while combining a program aimed at increasing their self-esteem and independent living skills. Our residence is a place where personal safety and accessibility to education, employment, and health care are met within a nurturing home-like environment.
