About this organization
The Ville Cooperative is a holistic community center based in Fredericton, New Brunswick. We aim to build stronger, more resilient communities by encouraging opportunities for intergenerational activities. One such project is the Intergenerational Housing project, dubbed iGenNB, a pilot project beginning in September 2019. The aim of iGenNB is to match 10 university/college students with 10 seniors who may have a vacant room in their house. The idea is that this reduces the amount of rent for a student and offers up some housework or other chores for the senior. This symbiotic relationship is not a new concept, but certainly, one that needs to be more common. If you are interested, please visit www.theville.ca
