About this service
Whenever a guest or program participant needs a listening ear, our trained pastoral care volunteers and staff are prepared to offer a listening ear.
During the drop-in hours, a team of Pastoral Care volunteers is on hand with the explicit role to listen and assist people. We do not offer any therapeutic services, but rather we engage active listening techniques to help people express concerns, celebrations or problems they may be experiencing. When possible, the Pastoral Team will provide people with information about other services in the neighbourhood.
Our Community Minister is also available to sit with people and provide a listening ear. Guests wanting to discuss spiritual concerns may also seek out the Community Minister.
