About this service
The Madison building in Winnipegs Wolseley neighbourhood was purchased in April 2011 to help serve those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless as a supportive housing facility. Residents at The Madison often face barriers to employment, have physical or cognitive disabilities or struggle with mental health illnesses. The Madison is a place of intentional community building, with residential relations coordinators and a core group of volunteers on-site who help people break out of their shell by organizing activities which integrate them into the community and build self-esteem.
