About this service
Offers supportive independent living opportunities for youth ages 16 and 17. This program aims to empower youth in a safe and caring environment. All 12 suites in the building are self-contained, individual apartments with common areas, an on-site care-taking couple and 24 hour staffing. Youth are supported throughout various supplement programming and skill building opportunities.
Our Program Aims To
- Promote healthy living as youth transition into adulthood
- Increase the capacity of youth to become self-sufficient
- Provide a safe environment for youth to explore their interest and work on personal goals
- Improve the decision making and problem solving skills of youth
- Increase life skills necessary for independent living
- Facilitate community partnerships to provide on-going support, services and resources for youth and their families
- Build on the strengths of the family in supporting youth
