About this service
Inpatient Personal Care units are reserved for Veterans who require individualized care to meet their physical, psychosocial and spiritual needs. Clients suffer form many chronic and/ or progressive medical conditions like Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, Huntingtons, Parkinsons, CVA, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, dementia, depression and Diabetes Mellitus.
Multimorbidity contributes to the complexities of meeting the clients individualized care needs.
Personal Care units accept student placements for Registered Nurses, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Care Aides and Health Unit Clerks.
