About this organization

Asperger Manitoba grew out of a support group for parents of adults with Asperger Syndrome who recognized the need for increased awareness, understanding and ongoing supports, specific to the needs of adults with Asperger Syndrome living and working successfully within the community. Later, AMI expanded its mandate to include children with Asperger Syndrome and their families in its mandate.Current activities include a facilitated Peer Support Group for adults with Asperger Syndrome and an informal support group for parents of adults with this diagnosis. AMI also provides limited direct support to individuals and their families as well as information sessions to organizations and groups supporting them.
