About this service
CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation, and basic skill development. This 45-minute program is intended for skaters who have existing confidence on the ice.
As of September 1st, 2020, and due to COVID-19, all skaters registered in CanSkate programming are required to have previous skating experience. All new skaters not previously registered with Skate Canada are subject to review by the Skating School and its coaches at the first session. If you are unsure if your skater has the correct experience, check out our PreCanSkate program or contact us before registering.
To run the CanSkate program, parent/guardian volunteers are needed. The program requires a minimum of 3-4 volunteers on the ice per session. If you would like to help, please let us know through email at recreation@whereyoubelong.ca
