About this organization

Community Futures is a community-based economic renewal initiative funded by the Government of Canada and directed by local volunteer boards. Our main objectives are to help rural Canadians start or expand a business and to help sustain and improve communities and their local economies.

Community Futures East Interlake Inc. strengthens communities in the region through innovative business and community economic development support services. Community Futures East Interlake strives to be recognized as the premiere source for business and community economic development support in the region. This will be accomplished through:

  • Innovative and inclusive programming in economic development;
  • Provision of business services and financial support for new and existing businesses; and
  • Modelling of effective governance, fiscal prudence and support and development of a knowledgeable, creative and well trained delivery team.
