CCATEC is a registered non-profit society, incorporated March 27, 1996. A Board of Directors, consisting of ten members, controls CCATEC. The communities and agencies that we serve nominate the members. In selecting the board members factors, such as tribal affiliation, gender balance, skills and knowledge, are considered. CCATEC strives for representation from the three tribal groups (Shuswap, Chilcotin & Carrier), as well as representation from off reserve organizations i.e. Friendship Centres in Williams Lake and Quesnel.

Employment Skills Development (ESD) To assist groups who have similar training needs, employment objectives and employment barriers. Training Assistance Purchase (TAP) To purchase seats in identified training courses and/or workshops from private and public training agencies for a group or individual. Employment Insurance Job Creation (EIJC) To assist individuals who are on or have received EI benefits within the last three to five years with employment initiatives. Summer Career Placement (SCP) To assist students with meaningful and/or career related work experience. Staff Development (SD) To assist employers in providing training for employees whose job is at risk or having their employment terminated Training on the Job (TOJ) To provide hands-on work experience which will lead to continued and permanent employment. Disability Program (DIS) To assist disabled individuals and/or groups with training as required for employment. Youth Program (YTH) To assist youth that have employment barriers and face difficulty finding and/or keeping employment. Organizational Development (OD) To assist First Nations Bands and Organizations with obtaining outside assistance to help with program activities. Childcare (CC) To support initiatives designed to increase the supply of quality First Nations childcare spaces, on-reserve, for children between the ages of 0-6 years with working or studying parents
