About this organization

1. We offer Strengthening Families Together which is a 10 week,psycho-educational course for families of individuals with serious and persistent mental illness. 2. We offer a Respite Care Program which is temporary short-term care,designed to give relief and support to a primary family caregiver. 3. We offer a monthly Saturday Support Group for family members and friends of persons experiencing early onset psychosis. 4. We have family support groups in both Victoria and Salt Spring Island 5. We offer partnership presentations to educate the public about schizophrenia and other major mental illnesses. 6. We serve as an information and referral centre for people in recovery and families. 7. We offer peer support programs for people in recovery and family members 8. We offer short-term Family Counselling. 9. Applications can be made to the Memorial Fund for financial assistance by family members and individuals suffering from schizophrenia or other serious mental illness.
