About this service
This standing committee of community leaders, Vancouver Police Department representatives, and members from the Womens Memorial March Committee, has the following goals:
- represent the views of women living and working in the Downtown Eastside (DTES)
- enhance community consultation between the VPD and the DTES community
- eliminate barriers and promote transparency
- strengthen relationships between the VPD and the DTES community
- provide education, cultural awareness, and events related to health and safety
- provide accurate information about violence against women
- share information relating to violence against women in the DTES
