About this service
The Aboriginal Shelter is a mat and blanket program operated by the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society since January 12, 2009 and located at another facility. The address is 201 Central Street which is close to Main Street Skytrain Station. The Aboriginal Shelter is open to all cultures (19 years and older) on a first come, first serve basis. There is space for 100 clients with separated areas for males and females. Doors open at 4:30pm. When signed in, clients receive a blanket and mat and two tickets (one for an hot dinner meal and one for a sandwich/snack for breakfast in the morning. Wake up calls are available if needed.
