About this service
The In-School Tutoring Program, or Homework Clubs, takes place in specially selected schools that have a large proportion of financially and academically at-risk students. Students are selected to participate in the Homework Clubs through recommendations by their teachers. Homework Clubs usually number 10-20 students and run for an hour and a half after school, twice per week throughout the school year. One or two Teachers Tutoring Service tutors work directly with students, either one-to-one or in small groups, addressing current homework challenges, improving basic reading, writing, and math skills, and boosting confidence in independent learning. Homework Clubs are staffed and funded by the TAS and facilitated by the selected schools.
