About this service
Through facilitated group learning, LEAD gives new English-speakers a thoughtful next step out of isolation and into their community. Classes and guest speakers explore topics such as the Canadian Government, Health Care, and Volunteerism. Program content has evolved and continues to do so to adjust to economic and social conditions.
Women who take part in LEAD learn:
- Self-awareness
- Assertiveness
- Goal setting and planning
- Group process and teamwork
- How to identify obstacles
- To understand womens issues
- Financial skills

Newcomer women who speak enough English, interested in self-development.
