About this service

This program is for immigrant and refugee women who have a passion for working with young children. In partnership with Vancouver Community College, we offer training for an Early Childhood Educator Assistant.

In this program, women develop the skills to work as a childcare service worker. Students complete an intensive childcare training course that includes topics such as health, safety, nutrition, music and movement, and trauma-informed childcare.

Training includes a two and a half week practicum with a childcare center in the Lower Mainland.
