About this service
All the treatment programs in the world won't get us to the other side of eating disorders if we're not actively working to prevent the onset of the disease or to interrupt its path as early as possible. As important as raising awareness is, we need to do more than talk about eating disorders. We need preventative action and intervention -- on multiple fronts, at the outset of the disease, in an informed and caring way, by those who are closest to people at risk.
So many individuals and organizations know of children, youth, and adults who are at risk of developing an eating disorder, or who are already suffering. They want to help, but simply don't know how they can play a role: what to watch for, how to initiate a conversation, or how to intervene in an appropriate and constructive way.
