About this service
Lions View II is a low-rise wood-frame building with one-bedroom units, some of which are accessible for people with disabilities. This property is subject to an operating agreement with BC Housing, so applicants must have a BC Housing registration number. Pets and smoking are prohibited.
In 1953, the Coordinating Council of Lions Clubs and the Central Lions Club raised and donated $18,000 to Brightside to purchase three acres of land and have the capital for the first project. Two buildings were erected and the project was named Lions View. Completion of 12 additional buildings at Lions View took place in 1960. In 1994, Lions View II reopened after redevelopment, featuring shared laundry, balconies, an elevator, an amenity room and a large courtyard where tenants tend to community gardens. Storage and parking stalls are subject to availability.
