About this service
The program was developed in response to an increasing number of clients who are quite literally homebound, and unable to source any food for themselves; a critical component of the recovery process that, sadly, is not an option for many of our clients.
Referrals are most commonly received from hospitals or Homecare Nurses, and our team will arrange an immediate home visit to ensure good food is available as soon as possible.
Each week, a client on the service will receive:
- Ready-to-heat instant oatmeal and cereals for breakfast - one per day
- A frozen, ready-to-reheat nutritionally balanced lunch entre - one per day
- A frozen, ready-to-reheat nutritionally balanced dinner entre
- One loaf of whole-wheat bread
- Bananas
- Yoghurt
- White milk and chocolate milk
- Fruit juice
- Ensure meal replacements, if necessary
