About this organization

Alternate Shelter Society provides residential and support services to a population of youth described as abused, homeless, at risk and behaviorally disordered. All of our youth come to us through the Ministry of Children and Family Development and are between the ages of twelve and eighteen, inclusive. If a youth is sent to us, it means that they have nowhere else to go. The length of their stay with us to dependent on how long it takes to find them a stable place to live more permanently.
