About this service
Better at Home is a United Way program to help seniors with simple day-to-day tasks so that they can continue to live independently in their own homes and remain connected to their communities. The program is funded by the Government of British Columbia, managed by the United Way of the Lower Mainland, and services are provided by local non-profit organizations.
Volunteer Terrace offers friendly visiting and light housekeeping services.
Housekeeping: 1.5 hours of professional housekeeping support every two weeks provided through Northern Home Care, a fully accredited home health services agency.
Friendly Visits: the friendly visitor program helps isolated and vulnerable seniors establish a supportive connection to enhance the quality of their lives through friendly visits. We are seeking volunteers interested in being a companion for seniors.
