Learning Disabilities Association Of British Columbia - Fraser South Chapter

Our organization is committed to creating a society in which people with learning disabilities are able to achieve the full expression of their intellect and abilities and enabled to contribute to their schooling, their work, and their community to the fullest. To further this goal, we do the following:

• Provide written and verbal information about learning disabilities and attention deficit disorder (ADD)
• Provide referral services to parents and professionals
• Operate a resource center with materials and programs open to all
• Provide support and guidance to parents and guardians concerning their childrens rights in the school system
• Undertake public awareness activities
• Publish a newsletter for members
• Provide presentations to community groups, schools, professional development days, conferences and seminars;
• Provide free public events on various aspects of learning disabilities
• Provide direct programs
• Fundraise to provide these programs and services
