About this service
We offer our time and commitment to actively promote boating safety but mostly we provide marine search and rescue services to the Sunshine Coast. We provide 24/7-365 coverage and are always ready to assist during all types of marine emergencies. Highly trained dedicated responders who freely give their time to those in need make up our team. Station 12 participates in resolving anywhere from 15-35 marine SAR incidents that occur on the coast every year. Our team dedicated over 1500 volunteer hours last year. Either as the principal resource, or as an additional response unit we are here to help. We also assist the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) and provide Pleasure Craft Safety Checks to mariners within our community.
