About this organization

The heart of AA is the group. Without groups, there would be no AA meetings. Each AA group elects a General Service Representative (GSR), who attends District Meetings that are made up of all the groups in the district and other service positions. The GSRs elect a Chair, who is also called the district committee member (DCM). The DCM is the link between the groups GSR, and the area service structure, including the areas delegate to the General Service Conference.
