About this organization

Sooke Family Resource Society offers a variety of programs and services for children, youth, adults and families. These include: family support, parenting education, child care resource and referral, licensed preschool, prenatal education and outreach, early years services, youth outreach, life skills and community inclusion, home sharing, mental health assessment and treatment, affordable counselling, and health and wellness workshops. The Society also runs a free children's clothing exchange, as well as a Community Thrift Shop. The Thrift Shop provides donated items for sale at affordable prices. The Society receives significant support from the surrounding community not only in the form of donated goods, but also through 4,790 volunteer hours in its fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. The Society has been accredited since 2009 and has hosted one of the provincial Ealry Years Centers since 2014.
