About this service
Each student is assigned a Youth and Family Counsellor (YFC) who takes them through an assessment and goal setting process to best support their strengths, needs, challenges, and interests.
Students attend skill-building groups or workshops with topics such as non-violent communication, healthy relationships, budgeting, self-care, and mental wellness. YFCs respectfully meet each student where they are at and provide counseling and life skills training. They work one to one and in groups as well as make community referrals and connections to ensure student supports are coordinated.
