About this organization

The Quesnel Lions Housing Society (QLHS) is a non-profit society created by the Quesnel Lions Club in 2012. QLHS mission is to respond to community need by establishing and maintaining housing and housing programs in the Quesnel area for the benefit of residents over the age of 60 years who are living independently, or other individuals as specifically directed by the Society. Many Lions Clubs in BC, across Canada and around the world have successfully developed housing projects for Seniors and others, so we have excellent models to learn from. Our first project is a not-for-profit apartment building located at 255 McNaughton Ave in Quesnel B.C. and has 30 one bedroom units for independent seniors. All units are available at affordable rental rates, so please see our application right here (insert link). Now that Silver Manor is complete and operating, we intend to investigate development opportunities for other types of housing needs in Quesnel.
