Prince George & District Elizabeth Fry Society - Stopping the Violence Counselling

Caring for women who have experienced violence.

We provide long term counselling and therapeutic assistance to women who have experienced violence in a relationship, childhood abuse, criminal harassment, partner assault or sexual assault. Even violence that is deep in our past can continue to effect our health and well-being.

We provide individual and group sessions that are intended to provide support and relief to women that struggle with trauma.

We can provide:

• Life skills training
• Advocacy
• Confidentiality
• Intervention

Information and Referrals:

We can provide information about police files, the criminal justice system, court case results and the dynamics of abuse. We can also provide referrals for emergency social services, legal services, resources for children, womens transition houses and community agencies.
