About this service
Offers holistic and culturally sensitive programs to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people who have been affected by trauma, addictions, or grief and loss. Services include alcohol and drug counselling, wellness groups, drop-in and crisis support, and a pro bono law clinic for family law. Offers counselling to individuals and families relating to issues such as violence, sexual abuse, sexual assault, family breakdown, residential school abuse, trauma, addiction, suicide, and mental health issues. Alcohol and drug services include counselling for youth and adults working through addictions, counselling for people affected by a loved one's substance use, group and family counselling, and education about addictions. Also provides access to Elders, cultural facilitators, and ceremonies to promote healing for individuals, families, and the community. Community-based victim services are listed separately. Translation is available for the Cree, Carrier, Sioux, and Ojibway languages.
