About this service
Assists seniors ages 65 and over who are in general good health, but need help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities. Services include friendly visiting, light yard work, snow shovelling, light housekeeping, and transportation to medical and other critical appointments. All seniors in the Prince George area are eligible to apply. Services are delivered by paid staff and volunteers. Fees for some services are on a sliding scale based on income. Offered in partnership with the Prince George Council of Seniors. Funded by Ministry of Health (MOH) and managed by United Way of the Lower Mainland (UWLM). Fax: (250) 564-9155.
