About this organization
Substance Users Society Teaching Advocacy Instead of Neglect is qathet Regional Districts drug user advocacy group. We are a peer based group that meets regularly to talk about issues faced by people who use drugs and collectively solve these issues to improve the lives of peers in our region. We improve lives through connection, communication, education, advocacy and harm reduction.
SUSTAIN peers facilitate Street Degree classes, produce an annual publication, and collaborate with the Community Action Team, among other organizations to move projects forward with their valuable skills, insight and wisdom. Peers attend provincial conferences, workshops and trainings to further develop their expertise. As a network we are committed to being at the table and in every conversation, because nothing gets done about us, without us.
