The Seniors Abuse and Information Line (SAIL) is an organization that offers a confidential information line for older adults and their caregivers in BC. They provide a platform for individuals to speak with professional intake workers about abuse, mistreatment, and any issues that affect the well-being of older adults. SAIL is available on weekdays and weekends, excluding holidays, and offers language interpretation services. Their intake workers can help identify immediate and long-term needs, connect callers to internal programs and community services, provide follow-up calls to those at risk, and offer information and support regarding abuse and neglect. They also assist in facilitating the reporting of abuse and self-neglect.
