About this service

Joys Place is a second stage transition home that provides temporary subsided supportive housing to facilitate security, independence, self-sufficiency and personal growth for women and children who have experienced violence. Independent living units and suites are available for women (and their children 10 and under) seeking safety from family violence. Tenants are supported through information, advocacy, victim services, family law matters, workshops and counselling. Tenants may stay up to one year.

A vital component of your time at Joys Place is that you develop a personal success plan. We support all our residents with working on their goals both independently and in areas in which they might need assistance. We also work with you to help you increase your already-evident resilience and resourcefulness and focus on your confidence in moving forward.

Please note that second stage housing at Joys Place usually requires a referral from a first stage transition home.
