About this service
The intake, outreach, and advocacy program provides confidential support services from a trauma-informed and client-centered perspective to women experiencing or who have experienced gender-based violence and are seeking to access the stopping the violence womens counselling program. Our support workers provide intake services, emotional support, referral services, safety assessment and planning, advocacy, accompaniment and advocacy with legal appointments and other meetings, information, and public education. The support workers believe in collective responsibility and work in collaboration with other community supports to provide wrap around supports for clients working with multiple agencies.
