About this service
The sexual abuse intervention program provides emotional support, counselling and education to individuals younger than 19 years, their families and community groups who have been affected by sexual abuse. Services include: Counselling - child and youth sexual abuse counselling and support for parents of participants Education & resources - brief sessions or support related to sexual health and safety Prevention - community education
Who can use it?
This program is intended for individuals younger than 19 years of age, their families and community groups who have been affected by sexual abuse. Individuals and families can self-refer or be referred by community professionals at the request of the family. Referrals are screened for eligibility to determine if services will be suitable and helpful to the participants situation. Support is provided as needed to identify other resources that may be available.
