About this service
The FASD family support groups are available to parents, caregivers and family members of children and youth suspected or diagnosed as having fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) and/or complex behavioural development conditions. The support group provides a safe and confidential environment for caregivers, (birth, adoptive, foster, extended families) to share experiences and strategies, problem solve, access current information and identify the childs strengths. The services include: Support to parents attending the caregiver support group Information sharing/facilitation of small group meetings Opportunities for peer support Community education for capacity building/understanding
Who can use it?
Services are provided to families of: children & youth with confirmed or probable FASD, child & youth with neurological conditions similar to FASD.
