Adult Book Clubs

Registration is required for our bookclubs. At this time, there are three groups running all of which are full. Between the Covers Book Club: Third Wednesday of the month at 2:00 pm (FULL) After Dark Book Club: Third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm (FULL) After Dark and Between the Covers read the same books, so patrons may only sign-up for one group. If you are interested in getting on the waitlist for one of the bookclubs, please email Stephanie at: sjames@pentictonlibrary.ca Between the Covers Book Club and After Dark are our two original book clubs. They read the same books, just at a different time. There are 5 fiction titles, and 4 non-fiction titles. The titles are chosen by the current participants by voting. The 'year' begins September, we skip December, and finish in June, with another break over July and August. Pride Pages Book Club: Last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm (FULL) Pride Pages was started in January 2020, and had to be suspended until August 2022. This is run in partnership with SOS Pride. The group is intended for everyone, and hopes to promote inclusivity, and joy for our community. There will be books, movies, and crafts at this program, it isn't strictly a book club. Art of Reading Book Club Second Wednesday of the month at 5:30 pm (FULL) The Art of Reading is run in collaboration with the Art Gallery AT the Art Gallery. We read books that relate to art in some way, and do some simple art at the same time!
