ARC - Personalized Supports Initiative and Developmental Disability Program

The personalized supports initiative and developmental disability program assist the individuals to build skills and increase independence. Learning about self-care, establishing sleep hygiene, healthy exercise, and diet routines life skills such as budgeting, shopping, meal preparation, and transportation adaptive living skills such as daily personal hygiene routines can also be incorporated into the persons agreed upon service plan learning and practicing healthy coping strategies, self-regulation and communication skills recreation opportunities for both social and physical benefits are encouraged, including connecting with the community through personal interests provide assistance in enrolling and support in school, academic programs, volunteering, work placements and employment working with family members to support them with promoting independence and advocacy liaison with other professionals and support persons with the individual to facilitate integrated and coordinated services
