About this organization
The Penticton & District Community Arts Council works hard to provide opportunities for artists and community members to come together in celebration of all things art! We believe in a vibrant, flourishing, and sustainable artistic community that is inclusive and accessible to all. To this end we have formed new partnerships with social service providers to increase our reach to marginalized and underserved populations.
What they offer
2020 marked the 60th anniversary of the Penticton & District Community Arts Council, and our 40th anniversary as managers of the Leir House Cultural Centre. We serve the people of the City of Penticton, Regional District Areas D, E & I, and tourists who visit year-round. We partner with artists and art groups for in-person exhibitions, festivals, markets, workshops, art walks, and performances. We are the liaison for our arts community with the Mayor and City Council, and we work with the Downtown Association, Chamber of Commerce, and tourism organizations to promote our local arts inside and outside our area. We work to create a healthy arts culture for Penticton & Area.
