About this service
Kiwanis Village provides publicly-funded (through Island Health) Assisted Living in both the Kiwanis House and the Soroptimist Suites. Village-wide there are 30 studio and 50 one-bedroom suites, with kitchenettes, patios or balconies, and a comfortable common lounge.
Services included with rent are:
- Daily lunch and dinner
- Weekly light housekeeping
- Weekly linen laundry service (bed linens and towels)
- A full range of social and recreational activities
- Scheduled activity outings
- 24 hour/day emergency monitoring
- Personal assistance services provided by Island Health
Residents generally pay 70% of their after-tax income, and are also responsible for a security deposit and payment of monthly utilities.
In order to find out if you are eligible for Assisted Living, please call the Home and Community Care office at (250) 739-5749 to arrange for an assessment.
Please note, Kiwanis Village does not manage the waitlist for Assisted Living.
