Clearview Detox welcomes people with mental and physical health challenges regardless of race, religion, culture, or sexual orientation. We strive to provide exceptional care and treat all individuals with dignity, compassion and respect. The 12 bed medically supported facility serves the following regions; Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Parksville, Courtenay/Comox, Port Alberni, Campbell River, Port Hardy, Powel River, and Tofino/Ucluelet. Access Services Referrals can be made by: Community General Practitioners (family physicians), walk-in clinics MHSU clinicians: substance use counselors, outreach Indigenous counselors Acute care (hospital based physicians, nurses, and social workers) Once Clearview Detox receives a referral, you will be placed on the wait list and contacted by our intake coordinator. Admissions are booked by medical priority. Once accepted on the waitlist, individuals are advised to call 250-739-5891 regularly to check on their admission date status. Individuals referred to Clearview Detox must be able to move about independently and manage their own basic self-care. Clients can obtain a referral from the following services: attend your local mhsu services building through your family physician or nurse practitioner community oat prescriber self referral option for those living remotely or with limited access to services *must meet criteria* referrals are accepted from mhsu clinicians through pathways. Physicians and community partners can refer via faxed referral to fax# 250.739.5892. Please call clearview directly should you require a copy of our referral form and we can email or fax to you directly. New referrals are reviewed by the detox team 7 days/week and triaged according to client needs. Those with the highest needs for medical detox will be prioritized for service.
